I'm sure you have heard all the news about Obama taking a trip to the Gulf, media saying it would be nice for him to go swimming to convince people that the ocean is safe now, the government back in early August stated the seafood is safe to eat. CNN: Court Temporarily Blocks Cali Same Sex Couples from Marrying

Remember the post about same-sex couples being able to marry in California starting August 18th, well that's on hold for now. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has put a federal judges decision, in which same sex couples can get married in California, aside for further hearings. The bad news is that the court also is challenging whether Prop 8 is unconstitutional, so there will be hearings on December 6th, so a decision on whether same-sex can get married might not come until 2011.

The state high court allowed same-sex marriage but in November of 2008 voters passed Prop 8 blocking same-sex marriages, the court allowed Prop 8 to stand stating it represented the people.
